The spectacle that is the NFL draft is in a mere eleven days away. One of the biggest gambles in sports is drafting a quarterback in the first round, especially in one of the top ten picks. Drafting anyone in the first ten picks means investing in millions of guaranteed dollars in a player that has never played professional football before. A success can lead to a championship, a failure can set a franchise back several years. I completely agree with what this article says, how drafting a quarterback that left college after their junior year of college is a risky thing to do. Another year in college means another year to mature, have the game slow down, and another year of experience.
